Mr. Biden spoke in blunt terms when he delivered a speech at the start of the State Department lunch, where more than 300 people were seated in the Ben Franklin reception room at tables brimming with Valentine’s Day decorations: pink and red tulips and roses, red candles and tablecloths with fuchsia flower patterns.
There is some comment/joke/column to be constructed, here, over the fact that Xi Jinping and Obama and Biden hung out on Valentine’s Day. It kind of reminds me of this video.
