On the one hand, this is good news, in that he is alive. On the other hand, rule of law is being manipulated to serve whatever purposes the CCP wants it to (see: falsified charges against AWW and Gao)—which is why the “weiquan”/”rights’ lawyers” project is likely doomed under the current regime.
